P320 AXG Scorpion | Sig’s First Factory P320 with Metal Frame

Sig Sauer’s first pistol from the Custom Works group is the P320 AXG Scorpion (Alloy XSeries Grip).

It is also the first P320 manufactured at Sig Sauer that has the aluminum grip module. Sig says this grip offers a solid feel with direct feedback from recoil, and feels “like no other pistol you’ve shot.”

This is like if a 320 and a 226 had a kid they would have made the perfect pistol.

The grip module was redesigned from the ground up, with an improved beavertail, grip panels, and insert. With this design, the pistol can be customized to user needs and preferences.

The sky is the limit. Aftermarket is going to go crazy with these accessories; with the grips and the inserts. We can’t wait to see what they come up with.

The custom Hogue G10 Piranha grip panels and insert are exclusive to this limited edition model, which is only going to be available for a few months. After that, Sig plans to offer the standard run model, which won’t be quite as pretty without the Piranha grips but will have the same basic features and a slightly lower price point.

It Comes with Three Mags!

The P320 AXG comes with three Extended Feed Lip (XFL) 17-round mags, but for customers in states that restrict mag capacity, it is also avaialable with three 10-round mags.

Sig says this is the first time they’ve offered the new XFL magazines. These mags have a high visibility follower and witness holes in the back instead of on the sides.

What Else Does it Come With?

The pistol comes with a skeletonized, flat XFIVE Legion trigger, an optics-ready slide with a sight plate cover, front and rear dovetailed XRAY 3 day/night sights setup. As an X-Series gun it has the front and rear X-Series serrations and a standard 1913 rail for accessory attachment.

Since it’s a Custom Works firearm, it also comes with a Custom Works coin, card of authenticity and lockable Custom Works case.

What About Optics?

The slide on this pistol has a sight plate cover that allows for direct mounting of either a Sig Sauer Romeo1 Pro, a Leupold Delta Point Pro, or a Trijicon RMR.

As Sig describes it:

The Custom Works P320 AXG Scorpion features the newly developed AXG metal grip module, precision machined with deep undercuts and an extended beavertail for an ergonomic, comfortable fit and is fitted with signature Scorpion G10 grips from Hogue for complete control. Both the slide and frame are finished with a Cerakote Elite coating in FDE for extreme protection. It utilizes the advanced LEGION lightened, skeletonized, flat-bade trigger, and includes a SIG Pro Series removable optics plate with dovetail XRAY3 day/night rear sights and XRAY3 day/night front sight. It also comes with (3) enhanced P320 magazines, featuring witness holes for each loaded round and a high-visibility follower.
