Roving Blue O-Pen Pen-Sized Ozone Water Purifier

Roving Blue O-Pen Ozone water purifier
The Roving Blue O-Pen Ozone water purifier is pocket-sized, making it a perfect gift for travel or even EDC.

Suppose you’re in a situation where you need a water purifier, such as hiking in the wilderness, or possibly visiting a foreign (or not so foreign) land. Failing to purify water can lead to serious illnesses, including dysentery, which is unpleasant, to say the very least.

The Roving Blue O-Pen uses a cloud of ozone gas in order to make water safer to drink. This technology is used in water treatment plants all over the world and has proven to be effective. EO3, also called electrolytic ozone, is actually more powerful than chlorine. It has been proven effective against dangerous organisms, bacteria, viruses, and cysts.

See the ozone bubbles?

I won’t go into the expansive list of little nasties that the ozone kills, but suffice to say, it is a lot! A great aspect is that all of the organisms that it kills cannot develop a resistance to the ozone. After it kills the nasties, ozone reverts to oxygen, so it leaves no residue or strange taste.

The O-Pen is housed in a black, metal cartridge. It will purify 16 ounces of water in under one minute. The unit weighs 1.2 ounces. There is a rechargeable battery that can be charged with a USB cable, and it will purify about 25 liters of water per charge.

The O-Pen retails for $149 at the time of this writing, and would be a great survival tool!

GoDark Faraday Bags for Phones

This makes a great gift for those who want to be able to shield their phone from any of these:

  • EMF Frequencies
  • Cellular Signals
  • WiFi
  • Bluetooth
  • GPS

Well, now there’s a way to do it with the GoDark Faraday bag. It is durable, water and puncture-resistant, and weighs under three ounces. It has a felt inner liner to protect your phone and prevent the screen from being activated while it’s inside the bag.

According to GoDark: “The GoDark Faraday Bag, an industrial strength Faraday bag, protects your tablet and electronics from location tracking, hacking, and damage due to external EMF by blocking all outgoing and incoming EMF signals between 600 MHz and 6 GHz, including GPS, Cell Phone, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.”

These bags give you a measure of privacy so that your phone cannot be tracked when sealed inside the bag. There is a metallic blocking material inside the bag so that the phone is protected from EMP pulses.

It’s important to realize that even if you have your phone turned “off”, it may very well have an operating system that is still on and tracking your location and sending/receiving signals. The GoDark bags shield your phone so that the signals are not sent or received. On the other hand, you can quickly access your phone from the bag in the event that you need to make an emergency call or need to use the camera.

There are a couple of different bag sizes so that most cell phones available on the market with fit one of these bags.

If you have a need or want to protect your phone from prying eyes or EMP waves, the GoDark bags offer an effective option. At the time of this writing, they retail for $42.47.
